Community Safety Officer-Local Government

Randstad is currently recruiting experienced Community Safety Officers for local Council. Multiple positions are available and the duration of assignments are up to 6 months with a high view for extension.The location of work is Adelaide metropolitan. Days of work will be Monday-Friday, Pay rate for this role $54-$62 per hour. The Role:

As a Community Safety Officer, you will be on the front line, ensuring the community remains a safe and harmonious place through education, engagement, and fair enforcement.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Conducting patrols to increase compliance with relevant legislation.
• Using high-level communication skills to mediate complex issues and resolve extreme conflict situations.
• Investigating animal-related requests, managing animal Control Orders, and contributing to Strategic Animal Management Plans.
• Collecting evidence for court proceedings.
• Providing high-level advice to the general public and internal teams regarding legislative responsibilities.
  
  

Essential Experience/skills:

• National Police Clearance
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite Skills
• High level communication skills
• Background in community administration, assessment, compliance/legislation

To be successful you will be immediately available and meet the above criteria. Previous experience within government will be highly regarded.
